Shopkeeper Amy, her husband Jody and their 2 1/2 year old daughter Ava welcomed Julian Emerson into the world at 2:14 p.m. Thanksgiving Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006. Julian was born at home with two midwives in attendance. He was 9 lbs., 8 oz., and 22 inches long.

Both mom and Julian are doing well, and big sister Ava and daddy are very proud! :)

Check out our new design, featuring the logo of the Attached At The Hip site (baby in a sling), with the phrase "Happily Attached." This design is available on bibs, infant creepers (onesies), toddler t-shirts, kid t-shirts, baseball jerseys, sweatshirts and hoodies. There are three different skin tones for baby/mommy.

If anyone has any saying ideas (AP or just fun stuff) for merchandise, please let me know! :-) I'd love to hear from you and add the kinds of things you are interested in. If I like and use your suggestion, I'd be happy to give you a discount on a t-shirt or other merchandise. :)

I've had a couple requests for anti-circumcision sayings in the past, but I haven't come up with any designs just yet.

I'm also working on some new ideas for Christmas. Hopefully those will be coming along shortly.

I redesigned the "I'm going to be a big brother" and "I'm going to be a big sister" shirts (but will continue to carry the old designs as well).
AND
I added "I'm the big sister," "I'm the little sister," "I'm the big brother," and "I'm the little brother" shirts.

They are very fun and oh so cute! Check 'em out. :-)

I redid my baby wearing design so that the baby looks more like he/she is riding in a sling rather than a stroller. :)

Welcome to my new blog for Attached At The Hip, my online store through CafePress.

Attached At The Hip sells primarily advocacy clothing, stickers, buttons, etc. with logos that promote attachment parenting ideals such as breastfeeding, baby wearing, gentle discipline, natural birthing and more.

I also offer some non-AP logos for announcing an expected baby (I'm going to be a big brother/sister shirts) and crunchy/granola attire for mamas and the whole tree-hugging family. In addition, there are shirts for domestic "divas" and "goddesses."

I will use this blog to post updates regarding new merchandise offered in the store, new designs, new specials and coupons so be sure to check back often! :-)
